We could also imagine it working in a more 3D way, hovering above/around your head, body, or point of view.Josh Mauricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03589553391522701891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-871239064055660697.post-69683880817314431122017-02-19T11:08:58.106-08:002017-02-19T11:08:58.106-08:00Please share this with, for instance, programmers ...Please share this with, for instance, programmers who might be interested in launching an open-source graphical interface project.

If we start with a platform equivalent to Minecraft or Roblox, in that it allows for creating 3d worlds and interacting with others in them, then we could try to make it possible for objects in the 3d worlds to be nested within other objects indefinitely. We'll want objects to be easily sharable between worlds. We'll let the processes of creating custom worlds, and of connecting and sharing those worlds with others, take place in-game, inside the 3d worlds -- even if there's still a lot of text involved in such processes, we'll be interacting with the text within a larger graphical environment, in such a way that we can build more and more graphical structures to take over more and more of the functions for which we've been using text.

Such an environment, if it becomes the prevailing way for people to use the internet, will get us all, in almost a literal sense, on the same page. It seems to be a realistic way of solving the problems of information poverty and information overload -- allowing us to access and manage the voluminous amounts of information that are relevant to us as navigators through these fascinating and pivotal times. Information will percolate through to everyone, beautifully, appropriately, agreeablyJosh Mauricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03589553391522701891noreply@blogger.com
