I found that bit of Lamb at Powell's, where it was included in a display marked "ALL IN GOOD PUN" [which included Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails with a Literary Twist and Baking Bad: Criminally Delicious Recipes. No Meth-in Around] the day before those two tweets from two of the people I've been following most closely on Twitter

Last night the person at Powell's who had turned me onto Lamb mentioned Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, which another friend had mentioned earlier yesterday. This other friend (a celebrity anarchist) also mentioned that Johnny Depp, who starred in the Fear & Loathing movie, once fired Hunter S. Thompson (the author of the book) out of a cannon, which I then mentioned to the Powell's person, who had taken several seconds to remember the name of the book "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" and commented on the difficulty of the remembering process. A few days earlier, I had taken several seconds trying to remember the name "Hunter S. Thompson" speaking with another friend. I never did remember the name in that conversation, but remembered "gonzo journalism" and commented that the gonzo journalism guy's face on the cover of a book at Powell's quite resembled the Dalai Lama.

Too, I found a book titled Gaspar, el pastor de liebres [Gaspar, the Hare Keeper] in the little library at Sisters of the Road Cafe, not more than a few days after reading the passage from Lamb, which includes reference to a character named Gaspar.
